Origin of the Celts. No, the Celts were not the people who constructed Stonehenge in southern England.

Stonehenge was there long before the Celts arrived in England. Celts had their mythical King Arthur and the knights of the round table sworn loyal to him. His castle was Camelot.

Gauls on the European continent were Celts. They lived in today's France, Belgium and originally also in Northern Italy and Alpine region. Celts also lived in most of the Iberian peninsula. Its mediterranean shores had been the battle ground among many civilizations and Celts had more or less withdrawn from these coastal areas.
